Public domain music from musopen.com Q: What restrictions are there for the music downloaded from this site, can I edit it? Share it? Use it for a film project? A: The music on this site is given a public domain license, therefore, there are technically no restrictions on what you do with it. We do ask, out of courtesy, two things. One, that you do not directly sell our recordings for profit, as a great amount of work has been donated to this project, and for the benefit of the public, not profit. Two, we ask that any commerical or derived works attribute Musopen somewhere, to give credit to this project. And for all the film students emailing, yes you may use it in your film, you can then sell the film, containing our music. It's in the public domain afterall. -- http://www.musopen.com/faq.html Musopen has requested in-line attribution in any article this file is used in.

There's definitively a weak signal there, but not much to write home about. This is a recording of an eberline e-120 geiger counter, which makes the "classic" geiger click sound. Recorded with a røde nt-1 at about 4 cm (1. 6") from the speaker. Click here to check out the full geiger sound pack. . . .

This is a combination i put together for a nuclear holocaust themed sleep video i did that mostly features the sound of a geiger counter, radio static, and wind. I tried to pull sounds together that gave a real post-apocalyptic ambience.

This was a happy accient. I was charging a drone battery though an adapter with overvoltage protection, which started beeping and increasing in frequency as the battery got close to full charge. There is a good bit of sound at the end, when i pulled off the battery and the capacitors in the charger discharged. :). Have fun with it! if you want, let me know what you did with it. Cheers!. Recorded on zoom f1 with xyh-5.

Here's a old geiger counter with the tube held by a radioactive test sample, probably / hopefully fairly well decayed. Audio is recorded by hanging the headphones on a blue bluebird condenser, as the headphone connector is an unusual 1/2 inch threaded thing. The serial number of this unit is 71605.

This sound is made by my old continuity meter when the contacts are moved around. The clicking sounds similar to that of a more modern geiger counter or dosimeter. I have heard a few over the internet and some of them produce a beeping noise when the max range of radiation level is reached. Please feel free to used this sound. And remember to rate and comment. Thank you.

Two sustained voice samples i subsequently pitch shifted and layered for an ambient work (to achieve an 80's choir pad effect). The key is almost in middle c, but slightly off. . . Because i can't sing. The second, lower voice sample was recorded extremely close to the mic to achieve clipping; i wanted to get a buzzy, boomy sound out of it.

These field-recordings were captured for a radioplay. You can hear various moves (where possible described in german in the filename). The files are recorded in m/s-stereophony, so you have the m-signal on the left channel, the side-information on the right.
